MRD

The Medical Records Department is an essential part of a hospital. This department primarily stores the medical records of the patients who have been either treated in the OPD, IPD or Emergency Unit of the hospital. It contains sufficient data written in the sequence of occurrence of events, to justify the diagnosis, treatment and its outcome. Patients can retrieve any previous medical records in case of damage or loss. The records are chronologically arranged and the sequence order in the SDM Hospital helps to retrieve the records in the shortest possible time. The hospital census report along with the case sheets pertaining to results are updated on a daily basis. Hospital statistics and periodical reports on morbidity and mortality are stored in this department. The department also updates the registrations of vital events of birth and death.
